HootSuite users and Analytic Experts, marketing friends in general:
I am currently putting together a method for content generation that includes publishing it (at the moment using HootSuite) in bulk schedules and I am wondering what your expertise shows is better:
When pointing to the same URL is it better to use one that has been shortened for a specific product/page continuously or is it ok to let the url shortener (ow.ly in this case) create a new one every time the link is shortened?
I'm doubtful; I don't know if it will affect the page's SEO and the analytics.
Any feedback will help,
Thanks!

I do like ow.ly with hootsuite because of the tracking capabilities.
Permalink Reply by Maria Miranda on June 28, 2012 at 1:48pm Thank you Eric! As a HootSuite newby, there is still a lot to learn. Today, while researching this very topic I found that some users have actually tried to use the same url and the system has changed it for them because HootSuite is trying not to violate certain Twitter TOS and that apparently there is no specific difference.
But I've been concerned about the SEO. Your input is just in time for my first batch-schedule experiment with HootSuite.
If it helps, today I found this: How to implement custom url paramenters http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/114223-how-to-create-custom-url-p... and I'm going to implement it for tracking. Have you used it?
