Digital Marketing Tactics to Promote Your Small Business and Get Results

The world of digital marketing is growing and if you have not yet invested in it for your small business, now is as good a time as any. Digital marketing takes many forms; some of the most common techniques are social media marketing and search engine optimization.

If you have already invested time and money into these efforts, good for you! But you might not realize that there is more you could be doing to promote your business. For business owners who want to take their digital marketing game to the next level, here are some tactics you can implement to see some real results for the growth of your company.

Mobile Optimization

It’s obvious that in 2019, not everyone does every web-based activity from their desktop. So stop acting as if they do. Many of your potential customers will be browsing online from their smartphones so you should be taking advantage of this. You can do that by focusing on mobile optimization and making your website more mobile friendly.

Lyfe Marketing says that “the difference between desktop marketing and mobile marketing may not seem too obvious. After all, they both work on similar lines. However, if you want to get the most out of your small business digital marketing efforts, you need to achieve a better understanding of how both work. And more importantly, how people are going to engage with your brand on them.”

Create Original Content That is SHAREABLE

Producing content for your website and for the internet in general is nothing new. In order to get your name out there you need to create content for your actual website as well as content for promoting your name on blogs, publications, and social media. But don’t just create average content; create something that is share worthy and gains traction among your customer base.

You need to make sure that it has value and is actually something that your customers want to read. If you aren’t able to do this yourself, hire a web content developer who has the skills and qualification to create shareable content.

Focus on Web-Based Customer Service

Chances are you already do this, but there is more you can be doing to up your customer service games. We’re not talking about interviewing new customer service reps and asking them a litany of customer service interview questions. We’re talking about improving your digital customer service.

Consider implementing a live chat option on your website where you can immediately answer customer questions about the products and/or ordering process. It has been proven that customers actually use live chat on a website; it might be the determining factor in making the sale.

Build an Email Marketing Strategy

One of the easiest ways to reach the greatest number of potential customers is through email marketing. You should be creating your own email list over time and sending out regular emails to the people on this list. Email marketing has been proven to be even more effective than using social media when done properly.
