How To Create Healthy Habits To Reach Your Fitness Goals

Get the fit body you want by using these healthy habits to ensure success.

Hello everyone I hope you are having a good week so far and happy Wednesday. Today the topic of this article is about creating healthy habits to reach your fitness goals. These aren't short-term habits either. You want to stay healthy for the long-term and by practicing the tips below you will be able to do so. I understand you want to be healthy and strong, but don't go to extremes to achieve the body you desire.

This isn't healthy for you nor is it sustainable in the long run. This includes doing too much exercise in order to achieve your goal. Another common practice unfortunately is to drastically lower calories in order to lose weight. You will only end up fatigued which can set you up for injury in the long run. Getting injured can set you back weeks or even months from your reaching yours goals and you don't want that!

The key here is to practice moderation in order to get the results you want. With exercise you may workout 3 times a week for 30 minutes instead of 6 days a week for an hour. This will allow your body a chance to recover from your workout session. You can also use this extra time to work on your business instead of spending unnecessary time at the gym. When it comes to diet moderation is key as well.

You don't always need to eat "clean" in order to be healthy. This is a very boring way to go about eating. I tried this before and it didn't last long. I ended up blowing my diet by bingeing on junk food because I cut out the foods I enjoyed. This brings me to the next point.

Don't deprive yourself of the foods you love eating. Don't eat junk food all the time either as that isn't healthy. To ensure balance, eat healthy 80-90 percent of the time. This includes the 3 macronutrients proteins, carbs, and healthy fats to promote good health as well as improve performance. Getting the proper amount of carbs will give you the extra energy n...

Low carbs diets aren't effective when it comes to strength training. Carbohydrates are proven to elevate your mood as well. Your remaining calories can come from treats you enjoy. I love to eat ice cream, dark chocolate, and pancakes they are so filling! The most important thing to keep track of though is your caloric intake.

You can eat all the healthy foods you want, but if you aren't tracking your calories you won't see the results you want. If you are trying to put on muscle you must be in a caloric surplus and for losing fat you have to be in a caloric deficit. I have another tip you can use if you prefer not to do calorie tracking. Just keep track of your meal portions (more for putting on muscle, less for losing fat). Being consistent is another major part of seeing results.

You see when it comes to body transformation it is a slow process. It takes weeks to months to see noticeable changes in your body composition. I wanted to point that out just in case you get discouraged about not seeing immediate results. To achieve the body you want it takes a combination of improving your daily habits and getting stronger every single workout. If you plan on going to the gym 3 times a week then do that.

Don't start taking off because you don't feel like going today. One day can turn into a week, then the next thing you know a month has gone by and you haven't worked out since. With your macros you need to make sure you eat the right amount of them. They will have a big effect on your final body composition. You want 50 percent of your calories to come from carbs, 30-35 percent from healthy fats and 20 percent to come from protein.

This ratio will ensure you have a proper balance of macros. Don't try to do low-carb or low-fat diets both lower testosterone levels and as a man you don't want that! The key is to enjoy life while reaching your fitness goals. You get to have fun when going out to eat with friends and you can truly enjoy delicious foods when going to restaurants. This can be achieved by keeping your macros in check!

I remember when I first started working out I only got one part right. I only focused on the exercise portion. I didn't keep track of what I was eating, to be honest all I really ate was junk food. The only reason I didn't gain weight was because I didn't consume enough calories.

After about 2 months of this approach I stopped seeing results. The reason for this was I didn't track my nutrition. Don't make the same mistake it puts progress on the table and can be a long learning experience.

Here is a mantra I've been using since I began my workout journey, I hope it can provide you with some inspiration. Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal.
