The art of making your website more visible online

Technology is transforming the way in which we do business. In the UK, where 88% of adults have regular access to the internet, companies need to up their game online too if they want to increase their visibility and remain profitable. In a world that is full of online noise, there are a number of strategies that companies can implement to boost their profile on social media and on Google, and drive traffic to their website. It’s simple!

Use social media

This is perhaps the most important- and simplest- thing you can do to raise your profile online. With around 1.94billion people who use Facebook monthly, and 328 million monthly Twitter users, social media is an invaluable resource when it comes to connecting with people. Get connecting: set up profiles that post interesting and engaging content; share content from around the industry, and follow people with similar interests to yours. The more effort you put in, the more visible you’ll become. Through using social media, you can make yourself a known name online, which will in turn drive traffic to your website and make people more likely to buy from you.

Get analytical

When it comes to increasing your traffic online, it’s vital to know which approaches attract your target audience, and how to adapt in order to improve it. Here, analytics can be a goldmine, both for your site and for social media. It’s worthwhile taking some time to analyse your analytics through LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook Insights, so you can find out which of your posts were more successful, and why. Have a look at your Google Rankings; monitoring this kind of data will give you a much better understanding of where to improve, and how.

Paid advertising

If you want instant results, then paid advertising is the way to do it. Sites like Google Advertising will let you create an online campaign, where you can set a budget, a specific campaign length, and tailor your audience so it only reaches people you want it to. Though this approach costs money, it will also boost your rankings on Google, so that your site will appear above the organic search results when people search for a specific key word. You can also do this on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, if you want to reach even more people.

Content Marketing

Using content marketing is a fantastic way of raising your online profile. Not only does creating and sharing good-quality, relevant content on your website (or your blog) and on social media improve your brand and engage more potential customers, but it can also boost your SEO results. One of the things that Google looks for when choosing pages to display on its search results pages is good quality content with lots of links, so don’t miss out on a trick and invest some time in writing stuff that other people want to read.

Upgrade your website

If all else fails, perhaps the problem is with your website. In order to engage viewers, keep them on your site and entice them to buy your product, it’s vital that your site looks appealing, is easy to use, and makes the customer experience as pain-free as possible. Consider upgrading your site: it’s one of the most important marketing tools you have, and a good site will not only improve your brand and impress customers but, if configured correctly, boost your SEO and online presence.

I suggest that you check out the website builders from this resource . From my own experience I can recommend you to have a closer look at Wix or Weebly, as both of them are probably the easiest website builders to use in my opinion. Anyway good luck!
